Dynamic Feature Scoring (DFS) is the process by which Bentley Map determines how to assign features to non XFM features. It uses the rules described above by checking level name, cell name and, for MicroStation GeoGraphics projects, the MSLINK number that corresponds to the entry in the feature table. DFS happens automatically as new elements are introduced to a user session by attaching a reference file or even drawing an element with a basic MicroStation command.
